Driver side light won't retract after rainstorm
A couple of days ago I moved my 90 vert inside the garage during a night time rain/hail storm. When I shut off the lights, the driver side light did not retract. Later the next day, when I came back to the garage. the headlight was in the down position. I raised and lowered the lights several time, no problem. It moved freely with was no apparent binding, grinding of anykind.
Well, last night I moved it in again during a rain/hail storm and the light again stayed up. This morning it is still up. The lights work, the passenger side light goes up and down with no problems. Fuses are good.
Any suggestions as to where to start looking for the problem?
Thanks
Jack
Edit:
I retracted the headlight manually and it stayed down. when I turned the lights back on, it raised up, but it would not retract again.
Thanks

I am just revisiting this question.
I can crank down the headlight manually and it stays down. when I run the headlights, it pops up, then does not drop back down.
Any suggestions on where to start?
Thanks in advance.

The relay, definitively. I had something similar happen to me about a year ago now. The passenger side headlight was finicky when it wanted to work. long story short I had moved the motor relay while playing with the intake, and when I checked that part of the system saw a ring of rust in the boot because the relay got upside down. go get yourself a new one.
