true drifting for show is different, but not completely. a school will help you learn how to control your car near/at/over it's limit which will most definately help his over correction from lack of experience
or hell, just keep trying it on the street. you'll probably get the hang of it eventually. either that or smash your **** and possibly someone elses.

Yea and be careful of drifin on the roads.. sometimes your back end swings out way to far and heads towards poles!
I just slammed on the breaks and avoided it though keke.
Our industrial park has some nice turns too..
oh and i was driting in a golf cart last week, went to a golf course, drove the cart into the woods, popped off the seat, removed the governer, and hit the course lol.
get moving down a hill nice and fast, cut the wheel put on the parking break and spin down the hill, me and my friend had a blast, and got in some golfing practice!

What is your setup anyhow, Drifter101? ![Wink](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
best setup= good wheels front and back
best practice= autocross. Learn how to drive first, and learn the basics of braking, throttle control, turning, basic grip stuff.
If you learn by going to 'places' all the time, you'll crash and bust many cars before you get decent at the very least. I already destroyed one car and have quite a few broken ones. I'm sure I will break another one. It's a path that should only be taken if you're aware of the consequences and have some backup should any cars break (they will) I will not deny that you can't learn anything by going to 'questionable places' but it is a double edge sword, it makes it very easy to build upon bad habits, or push too hard and wind up hurting things.
breh no more drift speak for me. I am far from being 'good' at drifting.

The *** is dragging, but it's sideways and the front wheels are spining. Only once ever!

Driving my AWD Audi in the rain is nice
AWD drifts are just a complete different feeling, I love it, so much control. At any point you can just ease up on the throttle and regain complete control. Unless of course you are sliding ~70 mph towards a pole

fwd are easy to drift (95 integras at least...) just take it to the limit all four squealling and then very quickly lift the throttle... back end drifts out (*** drags) then modulate the throttle. gas, and counter steer to go straight... lift some more and back comes out more. you can't start the drift as soon. and power isn't as big a deal. used to drift at 80mph all day long in that thing. I've got to get used to this rear wheel drive and that funky oversteer suspension thing before I try it any faster in the fc.

240's are longer and have a bigger wheel base than an FC, So that makes gives them more stability when the back end is out. They are somewhat easier to control... But wheres the fun in that

Well i guess that its all your point of view of what Drifting is Roy. Yes in a traditional sense a four wheel slide is a drift, and yes you can do them in FF, (not to mention they look nice doing it
). But your definition of all show drifting is doing "Powerslides" is inncorrect in my eyes. A powerslide is is letting your wheels loose at or near the apex of a turn. A show drift is haveing your rear wheels sliding before or as your entering a corner, then keeping your rear tires out of traction as you enter the next, so you get set up for another. To my knowlage, with out power to the rear wheels, a FF is incapibul of keeping traction loss in a consecutive drift (on a dry street) without haveing power to the rear wheels. We can argue about what is drifting for years with out coming to a conclution (as many have) or we can simply agree to dissagree.
