it's not whether u can drift an FC or not, it's how u do it. heck, u can even drift a civic using the hand brakes. OUR point here is if u'r just about to start and learn how to drift, 240sx's and AE86's are GOOD learning cars. we didn't say u CAN'T drift an FC.

you know what.. drift what you want and dont let any one tell you that its the wrong vehicle or anything like that. if its what you like and are comfortable in then why pay any attention to those people.granted 240s are easy to drift but if you want to drift an FC and dont want to do a 240 or AE86 first then go for the FC. do remember they are a little more costly.

Be a comformist, get one of those "240s"
You'll be 1 out of 100,000 amateur 240 drifters.
Drifting on a tight budget with an FC is just not a good idea.

while it may not be a good idea. some of us still manage to do it..hell i do.. ive never curbed my car either.. but i also push myself when i get a chance to hit the twisties and do some grip driving. and was able to push myself and the car before i started to get into drift..

most of it depends on the person driving. and there prefrence.

anyone have anyinsite to a basic setup? and what way gets the fc sideways the easiest.

i have the drift bible and have played around in a parking lot after some rain doing ebrake 180s 90s

i then tried a few powerovers and would be doing fine until boost would come on then the back end would get away from me.

i did a braking drift on accident once and that worked out perfectly.

so what method works best to get a fc sideways?

back should be stiffer than the front?

I got nothing against "kids".
I got a problems with ATTITUDE.
Whether you're a "kid" or an 80-year old, old fart, attitude stinks.
I don't age discriminate; I discriminate against ATTITUDE.

If you never managed to "curb" your car, you're...
1) not going fast enough, and / or
2) dunno what you are doing.

Now, I can see how you can get offended by this.

Drifting is relative for everyone.
What I mean is...unless you've seen a top-tier drift event or been inside of a pro drift vehicle / driver, you have no idea what pro drifting means.
Ripping around in the parking lot and pulling your handbrake is not what I call "driftiing", yet a LOT of people do call it just that.

Let me as you this...
What is your experience when it comes to drifting?
Have you been to a D1 style event?
Have you been in a D1 car with a pro driver driving?
MOST OF YOU cannot claim that, so you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Ask almost any of the FC guys that do this seriously, and they will tell you they have slammed their cars into SOMETHING.
Thus, you claiming you never hit anything implies the above.

These kinds of threads always turn into ****, cause the KIDS cannot keep their mouths shut and just listen; they all think they are the next Takumi and because their FC was in InitialD they are considered "drifters"...
Think about it...

See, you're an exception to most of the guys posting in here.
Although your experience is relatively short, you know what I'm talking about in here!

I always get irritated when people post about "drifting" in the parking lot or some back road...that's NOT "drifiting".
I call it *******-around-on-public-asphalt.

BoostinmyS5 knows what a real drift car is capable of.
Most of you don't.

I think I just figured out what the pink and camo FC's are all about... It's to make the FC look as gay as possible, because naturally the FC would be racking up style points while it was still in the paddock... That just wouldn't be very fair...
