Adjustible shocks, adjustible sway bars, LSD helps a lot, good tires, good clutch, and very good knowledge of how to drive your car. Technique is the real key, but suspension mods make it easier. Do a Lycos search for "Drifting", you will find some good info. Hey, where in Texas you located?

Stiff suspension, tiny bit of toe out on front, and adjustable everything to tune it to how you want it to feel. There are too many variable with wheel size and tires, and all FCs have LSDs stock.
Get some Option videos and study up on the technique.

Might I suggest TEIN HE coil-overs with pillow-ballmounts and camberplates, Cusco strut tower and sway bars, KAAZ LSD (1.5 or 2 way) Watanabe 15X7.5 wheels with 205/50/15 in front with 195/50/15 in the back and some good brakes (Brembo rotors, SS brake lines and Project MU carbon pads) that should handle the suspension....

So you want to drift, huh...
Run 225 wide tires up front
Run the stickiest tires you can up front
Run as much negative camber up front
Run as much POSITIVE camber in rear
Run the crappiest/hardest tires in rear
Run the smallest tires in the back
Cusco 2-way LSD in back
Run NO front anti-roll bar
Run the biggest anti-roll bar in rear
Run the stiffest springs in all 4 corners - 600front, 500rear
Watch our for the light poles...

easy lsd test
there is a very simple way to tell if you have lsd on your car, simply put one side in the dirt (a neighbors yard works well for this) rev to about 4 grand, and dump the clutch, if you hear the tire on the pavement screeching, you have lsd, if you just sit there throwing up dirt, first go wash your car, then pout, for you have an open differential. (a limited slip differential will force power to both rear wheels, open puts the power to the wheel with the least resistance, i.e. the one in the dirt/gravel/ice)

Doesn't that just depend on lockers? My dads toyota is lifted and about 5k worth of off road stuff on it. He had lockers put in. Those put the power to where they need it. I think that is a little bit of what you might be talking about. Not sure though could be and most likely am. Maybe someone could correct me if I'm wrong. My 2 cents

If you've been to the drags often enough, watch all the cars which do burnouts - you can tell if it's an open diff or a not just by seeing if one or both wheels spin during the burnout...

This weekend we are holding a drift session on some nice open road in a rural area. Of course we will video tape it so everyone can see my drifting skills.
