that wasn't really aimed at you J-rat. a good driver doesn't need a turbo to drift so this thread kind of made me laugh. i have enough fun with my nearly stock T2, a quick spooling turbo would be better than a beefy high revv turbo for drifting.
best drifter i have driven was my s-10 pickup with 33" TSLs on it, drifts slow and easy to control. with 7s you have to be light on the throttle and know how it is going to react or you will be *** end first before you can blink.. tires and geometry have more affect on drifting than a turbo alone does.

and that SS auto chrome manifold DOES crack, my friend has a t04r on his TII, it was leaking after he put it on his car for 2 months

go for something that spools quickly.
drifting started, not only as a way to exit a corner with proper attitude to allow for earlier accelaration, but also as a way to maintain boost through a corner by keeping the engine revs up. so in the end, its pretty much any turbo that spools decently. your choice of top power output and driving style should allow you to come to a decent decision.

nice driving J-Rat and also driftaholic. I can't do any of that **** in my car. How much money do you burn on tires doin that stuff? Anyways, nice vid... keep up the good work.
And to reply to the leading post about "the" drift car. It's basiclly whatever everyone SMART has been saying. It's the car your most comfortable with that has enough power to spin the rear tires out of traction. Everything else is just padding and "extra's". Oh it has to be a manual as well. If your just learning how to drift, I wouldn't learn on a turbo unless you really know your car super well and know where and how the turbo spools up and delievers power. I'm gunna quote Karack on this one then I'm out.

Tires get expensive, but most of the tire places around town keep thier eyes open for good used tires that people replace. I take those and use them. It sucks because everytime I use a different set of tires, the *** end takes on new caracteristics. But I aint rich enough to burn new rubber..

My GXL drifts good, too. I'd like a way to make the bottom end a little torqueyer, but I've never had a problem at top end.
Just buy some cheeeeeeep tires, and let-er-fly! I break the back end loose everywhere above 5K when cornering that hard. (just ask my roommate!)
