first off, this thread IS getting out of hand, pilkington you need to really concentrate on not insulting forum members. you are newer than i am, and one thing you should know with all of your experience is not to go around talking like you are god until youre alittle better known around these boards.
if someone wants a loud exhaust.. who cares!? anyone with any car experience knows that loud tips dont equal performance, but a loud straightpipe does increase available horsepower partially, while increasing exhaust volume exponentially. you dont have to act like the forum members dont know that, and when you do, it looks like your calling all of us stupid. now i know you didnt mean to insult us, but it kinda comes out that way, at least to me. i personally love the noise an rx-7 emits. back when i drove a 190hp honda, i was still scared sh*tless of fc's, the exhaust note they emit is downright threatning. i messed with all sorts of cars on the road, but never an rx-7.
back to topic: you will almost ALWAYS get what you pay for. when shopping for mufflers you have to consider how hot our exhaust gets. how many cars do you know of that throw flames even WITH the cat on? ( i know mine does)

Yes I own a 944. And for your information it is quite classy and fast, or what I consider fast. If you want to waste time with a flame war by all means I'll put a forum up on my CC's site! Or better yet, come see me at show and we'll settle there, on the track.

Gadget, I was expressing my distaste for cheep bolt-on systems. You might not, but I DO have several friends with 7s, all of which have been modded. And while the most contact I have had is exhaust, suspension, wheels and Intake, I still do have say; take it for value or not. But it is my opinion (which is what was requested) that bolt-on systems are complete crap. And if you would listen I am purchasing a 7. Funny how one person's opinion differs and everyone deems it "wrong. " I am not here to get into pointless heated or personal debates. Likewise I am not here to win friends, or yield to personal attacks.
