On march 4 this person wrote:

hey guys, i have a 1991 rx-7 gxl, i just bought it and this is my first rotory! i HAD a talon tsi, well any ways i wanna know what parts will add the most bang for my buck.
AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT AND WERE ARE THE EMMISSION PARTS ON THE RX7. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT PARTS WILL BRING ME TO AT LEAST 230 HP
THANKS
CHRIS

So, according to his past remarks he used to own a talon. Now did he buy another? or is he not telling the truth? His profile says 1990 rx-7 but all of his posts refer to a 91 gxl. The lil options on this forum are usually overlooked.

Thumbs down

Gee...

You must be too young to understand. Too bad. You must think that more moving parts is better.

It does seem that you have an inadequate knowledge of rotories.

You must of been an idiot to buy a second hand car w/o checking it out first.......you are a used car dealers' dream...sucker!!!

Good luck on your adventure into the DSM world. I hope you have enough funds for it...you'll need it. They suck ***!!!

Man, that was uncalled for. I will come up to Berlin and race your ***. You have a Talon TSI, great, I respect you for it. But there is no need to flame. You think your car is all that right? Let's bring it on. Bring to Lebanon for the drag race, Lime Rock for the road race and Bristol for the autocross. How about little triathlon huh? Can you handle it? 60K for a new engine? I put 60K on my engine in 1 YEAR!! I have no problem flooding, the only problem I had with this car is hte brakes. Let me know if you are ready for a triathlon. Any people is welcome to come witness me kick some american pos ***

We don't flame people, and we don't flame types of cars either. You don't see people on here flaming other brands... why? It isn't permitted.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm all for his idea. Don't buy RX7's, thus, more for me at a cheaper cost!

We are certainly showing our share of ignorance on some of these posts...let's stick to the facts and then the argument can be won. Just ask a couple of the members who used to have talons and see why they don't any more. I seem to recall the_glass_man saying he put more repairs into his tsi than into his FC and FD combined. That's just one example, I'm sure there are more.

All it is, is a case of someone thinking they would buy an RX-7 and rule the streets immediately. The reality comes in when you notice that these cars all have a personality, and need to be well cared for on a daily basis. You cant flog the **** outta an 11 year old car, and expect it to hold up unless you are gonna be dedicating some serious time and money to fixing and then fixing some more. If you want horsepower, and dont want to dedicate the time to creating it yourself, go to the dealer and buy someting. Then you can be just like everyone else, But you wont be an RX owner.

hey, i love my rx and wouldnt trade it for anything but u have to have some respect for a car the has only 4 cylinders and can run high 10's to low 11's and still keep air conditioning and power steering. there are a few guys here in southern cali that can do that and i am impressed.

First off don't be a So what, you bought a p.o.s. car for cheap, you didn't take care of it.

So did you expect anyways?

And if you think that buy owning an Eagle Talon TSi is going to fix you problem then all we can say is seek help dude.

RX-7's are perfectly fine cars. You get what you pay for. Your treat it like crap, it's gonna run like crap.

This isn't nuclear engineering 101, so being ignorant by saying something as stupid as you just did proves to us how incompetent you are.

Hahaha, RX-7s unreliable. DSMs are just as if not more unreliable. My friend has one and so much **** has gone wrong lately, and ultimately his engine blew. Every person I have talked to that owns one says that aren't known for their reliability.
