sorry i didn't no where to exactly to put this, but its for my 88 rx7 convertible...and no i dont wanna sell my car and get a rx7 with a turbo already on it.

its $600 with shipping but i only want to run at about 240hp so i think its over kill the kit can handle up to 340hp, i priced it out ill only b saving 50$ if i buy it all piece by piece but i gotta wait for all the pieces to come in. the only thing i dont like about the kit is it 2.5" piping if i buy it piece by piece i can get 3" but was thinking of sellign the 2.5" piping on ebay...but is there really that big of a difference between 2.5" and 3"?

Anything with the word "universal" when it comes to engine mods that isn't a air filter is never a good deal. No matter how cheap.

You get what you pay for.

And, I may be dead wrong about this as I don't know that much about turbo systems, but T3 and T4 are different. I don't believe you can have a T3/T4 manifold.

ya, decided not to go with that kit, im gonna buy everything piece by piece so i know exactly wa im getting. i think its smarter that way... i got some pics of the turbo im looking at, i figure a turbo that came off a rx7 to begin with is good and its only good up to 13psi, so ive heard, wasnt gonna do any higher then 12

12psi on an n/a engine... sounds like your just trying to blow your engine. It takes a lot to turbo you n/a if you want it to last. What are you doing for fuel management?

The .63 A/R turbine is too small for a rotary. Universal, I think not.

There's no easy way to say this: This will end in disaster.

Very little in that "kit" will be usable. The wastegate won't fit the stock turbo, nor will any of the flanges on any aftermarket manifolds.

The fact that they left out the manifold from that "kit" is a big deal. It's a huge part of the project.

The turbo they quote is more sized to a small 4 cylinder, not a rotary.

You need to upgrade your injectors to a minimum of 550CC. This will necessitate some way to control them.

Keep in mind that universal piping kit is universal. It will require cutting and welding (you can weld aluminum, right?) to make it fit. Take a look at some of the FMIC topics to see how much is required to get an intercooler up front.
