In case you cant tell, im a sarcastic sonofabitch.. so calm the **** down NZ. i dont want to hear your bullshit.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We don't want to hear your BS either. 2 to 1 get out you lost.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know a true dual doesnt have to be specifically a Racing Beat.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

RB does NOT NOT NOT make the true duals. Madatrix just uses their components for that exhaust. I could make some cheap duals with rice cans and an RB header like SureShot I bet they still make more power than your loud *** single.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The reason OEM's use a single and split to a Dual is because its cheaper and easier and also lowers emissions...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so your saying that adding MORE pipe and ANOTHER muffler is cheaper? easier?

how so? I would think a single is easier don't you? Cheaper too because its LESS materials and less Manufacturing.

OH and HOW tell me! HOW does spliting the exhaust allow for lower emmissions? Does it magically lower the engines exhaust emmissions? I would LOVE that lecture. The car still puts out the same amount of hydrocarbons and all the other emmissions the ONLY difference is that NOW it has the ability to go through two mufflers. Instead of XXX hydrocarbons on ONE muffler you now get ZZZ and YYY hydrocarbons on muffler #1 and muffler #2. Thusly ZZZ+YYY=XXX and you have the SAME amount of emmissions as a single. Now be quiet!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
not for a performance aspect. if splitting froma single to a dual is helpful for performance, then why the **** didnt they do it back in the 60's on the muscle cars?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the 60's(Over 4 DECADES AGO!) Muscle cars used collecd exhausts. My father owned a Road Runner and it had a collected exhaust STOCK.

Another thing you might want to know is that cars(EVEN SPORTS ANDS MUSCLE CARS!) always have restrictions and low performance parts from the factory. for example take a new ZO6 stock it has XXXhp ad a better exhaust and you have YYYhp why you ask? Because even though its a sports car and makes a lot of HP the factory doesn't sqeeze all the HP out of it outright because of noise laws and emmissions requirements.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
oh, and i read your other posts, Mister-i-think-so-highly-of-myself-and-everyone-should-listen-to-me. I agreed w/ alot of them, if not all. you brought up valid points. but since your bashing me and have no concept of sarcasm, im not about to tolerate any BS. so chill the **** out and crack a beer. stop taking **** so seriously.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you agree with a lot of htem then STFU. You should be the one to chill out because your accting like a crying bitch after getting slapped across the face when you YES...YOU were WRONG. Smart men learn from mistakes and change if you can't do that then get out. Furthermore this IS NOT the lounge. This however IS a Technical Section for INFORMED debate and discussion. At times people are corrected for posting invalid information as I and most people here have more than once. Just learn from it and move on.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
if you disagree w/ me, you are wrong.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

You must be such a nice guy. I bet your a democrat.

children children, you know what, its funny seeing all of yall arguing over something. you see, you got the ones not accepting that they dont know what theyre talking about at times, then you some that love to shove in their face, well those two dont mix. i THINK aftermarket exhausts will sell mainly from user preference, nice looking can, good exhaust size, but mainly the way the exhaust looks. So you got the hardcore tuner whos scrapes up every horsepower he can, then you the ones, uuhhh not so hardcore. People will probably never put an end to this about when you ask for FACT and preference. people tend to mix those two together, and what happens? you create an argument about someone elses preferences and whatnot. i could probably go on all day long. but i dont care, just thought i'd throw in a word or two cuz i always see this damn thread up and alive.

Dont know if ive posted here before but I went with single because of flow and weight. Although a bit loud, I think it sounds very good overall but that wasn't really a primary concern for me when deciding. As for true duals, im not too sure about their higher RPM ability as you completely void any chance of exhaust scavenging.

I like single look, performance or not...

It's a matter of personal taste. No rights or wrongs, just personal taste.

Performance? I'm not touching that one, I think it's already been argued to death.

woah, this thread is long.

I have single, because it flows better (unless its true dual) and its cheaper, I only payed 200 bucks for my catback from my header and its 3" mandrel bent pipe (for my new motor, just went ahead and did it before)

Jesus. Can someone submerge this thread under water like a trash can baby so I stop getting emails to this retarded thread!

The difference is minimal between single and dual.

I vote single. Straight off the downpipe out the passenger side! Straight pipe that **** if you guys worry too much! Damn. Bunch of girls here.

This is my last post on this thread, and the last time I read it.

Single exhaust out the driver's side is the best flow possible for a turbo rotary.

Geeessusss! Another thread going 3 months that have NO technical issues.
Who the hell cares if one person likes duals and another like singles?? It's your car...do whatever gives you a hard on. Why do people even ask such things anyhow?
