Do used radiators smoke a little after install buildup maybe?

i just got a used radiator off of ebay for my 86 rx7 and it looks great and the car runs great but from the radiator area inside where the fans shroud surrounds the fan a litlle smoke is coming out it seems to be getting less and less, but could it be a bad radiator?

yOu could have dripped a Bit of Coolant.. Outside,On the cooling fins. There are Tons of ways to check for leakage. One is to pressure Test the cooling system..if you don't have access to the Tester, you could always do a 'Good Visual" to see if the RAD itself is leaking.I have heard of some stuff that is 'Flourescent'.It can be seen with blacklight(getting Technical now)..My suggestion,If it is Coolant or Maybe Oily residue on the Outside..Throw some Soapy water on the Rad..(do not Scrub the fins)..Rinse good with clean water then Dry it off as good as you can with Maybe a Blowdryer or Air hose..and then Start it up and Take a drive..Watch the temperature and Check the Level ..As I said TONS of ways (someone Will most likely Chime in with a Better Suggestion)
