do I need more fuel ??

87t2 with 3"down pipe and mid pipe and cat into stock mufflers. 8psi boost ,sometimes 9-10 (cold air) mixture gauge pins rich when I nail the gas. No fuel mods. Is this ok??

Thanks

Probably not a good idea, running lean is typically what kills these cars.

If the mixture gauge reads rich does that mean its rich enough?

no the air/fuel gauges are pretty useless... 8psi is probably fine. but 8-10 is pushing it. get a bigger fuel pump and rewire it and you should be fine

Sounds good, but last time I priced a pump it was $500. It was a holly, I know there is other brands. Whats a good pump to get? And a rewire? Ive heard somthing about that here before. What is required? Where I got the exhaust done They said I sould go pressure regulator. Whats better?

Thanks for your Help.

Walbro is the sae as Holley. Holley just stamps their name on them

No FCD? You need that now. I suggest ordering the walbro pump at the same time. I think we came to the conclusion that walbro fuel pump and fcd is safe to 10psi.

The guys that put on exhaust diconnected the boost sensor. They said the computer will just read the air and exhaust sensors to get the right fuel. There is no fuel cut ,the only thing i've noticed runs a little richer than it used to. They also say to put a regulater in instead of a fuel pump. What do you think?

Dude put the Vac line back on and don't go back to that shop!! your ecu is not retarding the timming now. that is just as, if not more important then adding fuel!!. get and FCD and a bigger pump. the reg is useless if your pump can't even flow enough. and the reg will just put more stress on the pump.

WOW THAT MAKES SENSE!! Is that why it goes so fast? I found it funny. After I went and bought the oriface for the vacuum line and the tee for the boost gauge they ripped it all out and unplugged it. HERE WE GO AGAIN!

So now I won't drive it untill I fix it.

Thanks (things I needed to Know)
