Do I need the fan?
I have a non-running 1986 Rx7, it doesn't have a fan right now, and I need to know if I REALLY need a fan, so I can go buy one. Also, if I do need the fan, can I use a TurboII (s5/s4) fan? or a s5 fan?

Unfortunately there is no power gain from an electric fan. It's lost by the extra load put on the alternator to pump out the amperage needed.
But yes. Get a fan if you plan to drive anywhere or else you are going to ruin your motor.

FWIW< I am the seller of the fan in the pic, and many of the other small ebay parts. IF you have an 86-88 model, a fan from any other 86-88 model (turbo or nonturbo) will fit. 89-91 (nonturbo and turbo) fans are different, and will not fit your car.
IF anyone needs a fan, I have plenty of each version available.
