![Question](https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I just found that I have 2 degrees of toe-out in the front end and it is really showing on the tires.
I can get it aligned next week but I want to get it closer by myself so I can drive to an autocross this weekend.
Question:
Does anyone know how many turns of the tie-rod equals approximately 1 degree of toe change?
Knowing this would greatly cut down the number of measurements and iterations I have to take.
Thanks!

the shop manual has a very simple alignment procedure.
i dunno about degrees, but an 1/8th turn was about 1/16"

do what i have done a few times on my old car. Grab 2 pieces of wood board, and place them flat against your front wheels *hopefully you have low offset wheels that are flush with the fenders or something otherwise might be trickier* and just use some masking tape to mark off the alignment on the ground.. and pull the car back, and compare the distances between the ends of the tape... Gives you an idea of what your playing with.

Toe in/out measured in fraction of inches or centimeters. Camber measured in degrees.
For toe I have two aluminum plates that I hold against the tires and use a matching pair of maeasuring tapes to measure the difference front and rear on the tire.
For a string set-up you need to know the difference is .4 inches front to rear(front being wider).
