That's not quite what I was asking, did you simply remove the AFM completely and unplug it and put a filter on the inlet duct, or did you jam the AFM open while still plugged in just unhooked from the inlet, or did you just leave it hooked up and jammed open connected to the inlet? And the reason for my delay in response was because my girlfriend had caught my attention and delayed my pressing enter :-D

Yeah sorry for not making it obvious, but that's no excuse for this kinda bullshit.

And for the last time, the ecu was getting more than enough rich signal from the plunger pushed all the way in. I just wanna simulate high rpm runs in 1st gear only and obviously the motor sucked in more air than thru the afm, causing it to stumble even with it running on 550 injectors. Obviously most of you are useless or you wouldn't be making idiotic assumptions.

One more point, if you can't answer that original post, stay the **** of MY Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not sure if you have directed this at me too or not but i think that there is a resounding explanation of why people came down, albeit a little harshly, on you. take a pill and calm down. world isn't ending..yet. by the way, its brickwall.

I just can't let this go, even though I know I should.

e-baby- Do you know what an assumption is? What am I assuming in my previous post? Other than you are an *******, which is not really an assumption.
Since we are all useless, why ask a question from a bunch of usless people?
Ask yourself this question, who the **** cares about your stupid question?

I don't imagine you'll answer this question, but how old are you?

If you were smart enough to convey a thought clearly enough for us to understand, we wouldn't have to.

Ask yourself this question: How much info did you give us regarding the length of time you had the AFM off the engine?

I bet most of you guys score a fucked-up 20 on the verbal SAT.
That would be 21 points higher than you scored, cause you can't seem to communicate well enough with other humans without them having to assume what the **** your talking about.

Ask yourselves this question, how many competent doctors ever make assumptions.
Why is a doctors profession called a "practice"?

Obviously most of you are useless or you wouldn't be making idiotic assumptions.
Who's more useless, us, or the one who asked us questions?

One more point, if you can't answer that original post, stay the **** of MY Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do whatever you need to do, Mr. moderator, but I was under the impression that this was a free, as in speech, forum.

Come on Jeff,
We all just need to settle down. Thanks for the warnning Brad. Nobody really wants to flame this bro in all real logic. Its just how we seem to think people are by the way they write.
ebay,
since you are the only person I have ever seen do this I have a question for you. I think my afm has gone bad and I was wondering if you could elaborate on what you experienced as you drove your car in the absence on an afm. Also doctors do make assumptions, as do detectives and that is how they both deduce what is going on with their cases. But please elaborate the things your car went through, like acceleration, and everything else. Keep it real guys, this flaming crap makes this forum look like ****. Lets clean it up.
Peace,
Charles

Ebay7: You can't expect anyone to help you when you act like this. I can tell you exactly what went wrong, but feel no need to. The last thing I need to do is befriend someone who displays nothing but disrespect.

I come on this forum to give aid to those who are grateful to receive it. You have made it apparent that you expect us to commit our time unto you without giving respect.

In your first post, you gave a very vague explanation about how you removed your AFM. You did not say that you had reinstalled it. We cannot read minds, and we cannot offer aid to someone who does not tell us what they did. Wth vague facts, the natural human course of action is to make an educated guess as to what would logically fit from the missing description. You criticized us for forming "******* assumptions", but you cannot criticise the natural human logic. We have seen "I removed the AFM, now the car runs like garbage" posts before, how were we to guess that this wasn't another?

As for the references to Rob and Mazdatrix... Could it be that they would see financial gain from telling you not to listen to us, and to rely solely on them? I agree that every post on this forum should be taken with a grain of salt, but generally, most of the information on this forum is genuine, and that of which is not is generally shot down, such as happened to the "Rotarygod mod" recent posts as an example.

Regardless, this is all a waste of time. You have shown your character loud and clear, and have now been ostracized for it.

A helpful hint, not only for online use, but to help you get along in life a little easier: give respect to others, especially when you ask for their help.

To a certain point. Even the law does not allow complete freedom, such is proven with law's against verbal abuse and verbal assault. As an example, you cannot just tell anyone you are going to kill them.

This forum is about freedom to express your opinion, not freedom to harm others. Falming is intentful of harm.

It is easy enough to convey your point as: "What you are doing is incorrect" as opposed to being needlessly angering with "You;re ******* it up, you dimwitted *******."

Let's try to keep forum member's in a level of respect, much like you would with a relationship with your boss. You can tell your boss you disagree with him, but you would never call him an idiot.

Scathcart, you hit the nail on the head! I was just seeing red when I posted and let rip. I knew it was not a mature thing to do, but I did it anyway. No excuses.

As for free speech here I would think that the owner has the right to do whatever he wants with the members. I'm sure there was something that I agreed to when I joined that lets the owner do as he pleases. I have no problem with that.

Let me put it this way. My career and life in general has been a whole lot better by making sure it is what it appears to be. Don't get me wrong, making assumptions is cool under certain situations. Sometimes, the end result is mild, no big deal, or in this situation, we ended up tradin jabs. But you bet down the road, assuming too much can haunt you dearly, possibly causing you your job, life, SUCH AS THE CASE the dude's father carelessly drove his 3rd gen into the lake. How? by assuming that the road was like a clean racetrack, by assuming that nothing can cause him to lose control. I feel sorry to use it as an example but I sincerely hope that none of you, no matter how you responded in my thread, will have to end up that way.
I'm not surprised at how this has all evolved, and since I have started it all, I might as well be the 1st one to apologize for exuding bad manners and hurtin peep's feelings. I was disrespected from the get go, so as nature would have it, I took it all out on you guys as you would when you get cut off by a honduh, right?
I don't expect an answer to my original post, but I do hope that good things will come out of it at the very least.

PS this thread is full of helpful people as well

Series4 RX-7s have a 7k rpm redline. The tach MAY go to 8k rpm but 7k is your redline. Series 5 cars redline at 8k rpm and their tach goes to 9k rpm. Maybe the previous owner put s5 gauges on your car.

Removing the AFM increases RP (ricepower) anywhere from 10-20, says the recent studies..
