Difference between S4 and S5 Manual Flywheels and Counterwieghts?
Im just wondering if there is a noticeable difference between the 2?
The engine I pulled from another car seems to vibrate a lot more then my old one. The motor mounts a new mazda hardened mounts.
Im thinking that when the motor was rebuilt, they must have used the wrong counter weight and or flywheel. The S4 motor has a S5 rear plate which is why I think they might have swapped in the wrong parts. Compression was 85 before I put it in my car but it was sitting for a while and I have yet to do another compression check to see if it raised after running it with 2 stroke for a while.
engine runs great except for the vibration that feels like something is out of balance.
Its not blown I know what that feels like. It runs smooth just a slight vibration.
