Diff mounts, polyurethane? (searched)
I need a front diff bushing for starters. Looks like my only options ar ethe stock one and the 'mazdaspeed' one thats cheaper :P (any other options for front other then custom?)

Anyway, the car is putting down a fair amount at the wheels so it will more then likely happen again (i'm assuming)
I've read that getting solid diff mounts (rear 2) pretty much solves that problem.
Well, from what i have searched I can only get aluminium or delrin bushings. I don't know how harsh they would be and would feel more comfortable getting some polyurethane ones as i'l be streeting this car with some track time every other month.
Soo... anyone know of somewhere I can get some poly bushings for the diff and subframe?
Are the delrin ones less harsh then aluminium?
Any experience with the solid ones on the street?
(i may drop the entire subframe too and do it aswell, but again, would rather poly then solid....)

check out mmr-direct.com for solid delrin bushings. I ordered them, but they haven't came in yet so I can't say until I get them installed in a week or so hopefully.
I haven't seen a polyurethane front mount, but what you can search for is a pinion snubber, it's basically a bump stop attached to the bottom side of the cars floor mounted directly above the differential, as you accelerate and the diff tries to push up ripping on the front mount, the snubber will restrict it's range of motion and should only be 'harsh' while you're romping it. of course you'd want to replace your front mount and do this mod, and hopefully it'd be the last front diff mount that breaks. I feel your pain, that knocking between shifts and take offs and man it really sucks!

i use a solid front diff mount, it makes a bit of extra noise when you load/unload the diff...

Going to price out how much it would be to have the front diff mount bushing cast in polyurethane~~~
I'll more then likley design a new bracket thats bolt on.
I'll let you know whether or not I choose the lazy route :P

Mazdatrix also offers competition rear diff mounts for the rear that are rubber and are 40% stiffer than stock if you are not into the delrin ones. Those might be the best option for you.
I would not waste your time with getting the mazdacomp front diff mount recast. Many high HP cars, including V8 conversions use the mazdacomp front mount with a pinion snubber and have not had failures.
I run MMR delrin rear diff and subframe mounts. I also run a solid front diff mount. If you can handle some extra drivetrain noise, this setup is great. If you run a solid front diff mount you NEED to run solid subframe and diff mounts, or you will rip the mounting tab off the subframe. The solid subframe mounts are where you will feel drivetrain slack and a bit of extra noise. Solid rear mounts will give you a bit more gear whine.

I installed another used diff mount when mine went out and bad move. Had it in for about 3 months and the lack of knocking in between shifts and it being free was nice for a while. Until the very first turn when heading onto the mountain road leading to the resort for Deal's Gap last year, I went to downshift and it popped. I mean this was the very first turn at the base of the mountain and it was day one of the entire weekend right before we checked in. lol.
Save yourself the trouble and do it right. I bought the Mazdatrix Mazda OEM competition mount and it's been great for almost a year now. A lot stiffer and I've given it some hell believe me. But I'm thinking of installing a pinion snubber as well just for more security. There was a very detailed writeup on here somewhere.

There's no reason NOT to install the snubber. It's like what? a $10 part from advanced auto?
Truck bump stops IIRC.
Your suspension will be able to do it's job and your engine will transfer power more effectively and responsively to the wheels with delrin then they would poly and you do not need to lube delrin.
Not nearly as noisy/shakey as solid aluminum......
If you own a welder, i suggest reinforcing the diff mount on the subframe. Just for peace of mind...... It's not needed but i'd like to think of it as a gun. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
