Diesel 13b, how hard?
#2
It'd be stupid hard. You'd need to find high compression rotors, seals that would withstand the pressures, port it for low RPM usage, diesel burns slowly... High RPMs can't happen
allthough maybe with rotors spinning at 1/3 crank speed relatively high RPMs might be attainable. It would probably be easier (if you just HAD to have a diesel in an rx-7) to swap in an early 80s GM 350 diesel...
But I have to ask you, why the hell would you want to do this? You'd ruin a perfectly good sportscar, or at least a perfectly good engine
If you want a diesel, buy a volkswagen.

Yeah, you would need extremely high compression and run from 1500-3000 RPM. Two things a rotary was not designed to do. The seals could not take it.
Diesels are for high torque applications, like semis that pull trailors that weigh 40,000 lbs. They arent for speed or sport.

Yeah Rotary Power internation is badass, I doubt you could do that with a 13B though, I'm sure they have some super computer running that engine not to mention the alloys they used alone would cost well over $5,000, but it still would be awsome!

Impossible? Lots of guys do it. Maybe not sports car drivers, but search around.
There is a good thread in the Rotary Performance Forum about deisel rotaries... check it out!!!
