did a search, but didn't get too much info, low oil pressure
car: 88 SE, stock
oil pressure question
the other day, after i started my car and let it warm up, the pressure was still at zero, but after some driving it began to go up (15 mins- i just wanted to see if cruising around made a difference)
when at idle it will stay at around 10-15, then slowly drop back down to zero
my best guess is that my sending unit is just getting old and shitty, but i want to know what you guys think, a lot of people here have been around rotaries longer than i've been alive
i'm also running 20w50, and changed my oil almost 2k ago

yeah bad sender or really bad E-shaft thermo valve would be the first things I would look at.

If your basing that off of the stock pressure guage, I wouldnt worry about it because in almost every FC I have ever been in, that thing doesnt work very well. Try jiggling the connector to the sender and cleaning it off. If you want to know better, get an aftermarket guage.

Just don't get an autometer
We now refuse to sell them to customers since like 1 out of 10 gauges would be bad from the get-go and the customer wuold be screwed on install day at our shop. Some of their gauges would peg immediately, not read at all or read erroneously. VDO is a much better budget gauge.
