Did my engine or my transmission blow up? Which one could it be.

Oh my god the **** with this car never ends. So I'm driving on the freeway on saturday and I hear this sounds that kind of sounds like someone blowing bubbles with a straw. I can't figure out where it's coming from but I think it's coming from the tranny. I look under the shifter cover and it looks like there's some fluid there. Car still runs fine and I don't have time to look at it so I figure I'll look at it later. Driving home today in 3rd gear the car just starts bucking, like when you first start driving a standard and you're trying to figure out first gear. So I'm like wtf. and get it home. Then I look down and my oil pressure's sitting where it does before you start the car! I have no faith in my gauges though, but I think my tranny is totally gone.

Just thought I'd vent and wondered if anyone has any thoughts on what's wrong with the tranny.

Is it just 3rd gear? Does the engine rev freely and build oil pressure normally with the car out of gear? Are all the fluids at normal levels? Is the transmission gear oil topped off?

check the wire to your oil pressure sender, if it's fine you might want to check the oil pressure with a manual guage to be sure. if it's really running low on oil pressure then you probably won't even be able to start the car anymore as the damage is already done.

is your coolant boiling"blowing bubbles witha straw sounds" ? maybe your engine is overheating, making your oilpressure all weird and the bucking shiz.. coolant seals blown? or maybe need a coolant flush and change radiator cap?

no the temp was fine and the coolant level is good.

no also second gear. out of gear it seems fine. I'm going to check the fluid levels today after work.
