Who the heck in their right mind is going to offer you MORE than your asking price?
If you didn't want any less than 3500... You say "3500 firm"
The fact that you got some fool to 4300 from 3500 tells me what they aren't serious about buying or want you to hold it for them because its SO nice.... How much you want to bet they'll pull the "Will you do payments?" crap. hehe.
Here's the IF THIS WERE ME portion of this reply:
I would pull the post... STOP selling it... Stop talking to those people... wait a month.... then post it again for +1-2k more than you actually want for it. Just tell the people, "Sorry, I'm having second thoughts" or "My wife said I can't sell it quite yet."

"or best offer" means that the seller is agreeing to sell the item for the best offer he recieves, whether lower or higher than asking price (to all those upset by the OP's willingness to entertain offers higher than asking price).
people offer more than asking price to ensure that they are the ones who are able to buy the item...it is not an uncommon practice.

it's called bartering, it's been done for thousands of years. It seems to be a rare concept these days.
People are stupid.
My friend saw that a video store was going out of business and he decided to pick up some cheap furniture for his store. An old lady went up to the person in charge and offered 50 bux and that she would need to come back (5 hours later) with the money. They said OK. My friend offered double and they said no because the old lady was picking it up. No wonder they were going out of business.

thats like saying when you look to buy a used car you bring the exact cash that the seller asked. im sure most of you try to get a lower price or at least ask. same **** different color.
