Did I get a good price?
I found this at a junkyard, the car had headers straight back to flowmaster mufflers (no cats). I think it might be ported, but I haven't checked. Also are the welds in the exhaust ports normal?

i say put some oil in there (some lub in the ports would be good to to do a compression check). If i were you, (considering that i have one of those laying in my garage as well!!!), i would tear it down anyway after (if you do perform one) you do a compression check, and see how the rotors and housings are. if the tranny is good, that alone would be worth the price. also, if the housings are good enough for a rebuild, that would be worth the price as well. looks like you got damn near a whole long block for 175. if i didnt have two good engines in my garage, sounds like something i would try to do!!! good luck with your find in anycase!!! =)
