did i deflood it wrong?

i know i'm an idiot. well my car was flooded cause of leaky injectors, anyways, it sat for about a day. i tried to do a compression test on it tonitem but the compression tester didnt seem to want to go into the leading holes. so i just said forget it, ill just deflood it and drive it tommorow. so i was lazy and was trying new methods of deflooding (short cuts) and i only put ATF in the leading holes. i put the 2 spark plugs back in, wires, and EGI fuse, and tried cranking it? nothing happening, some smoke came from the passenger side of the engine, and some smoke came out the back. it seemed like the car was still flooded?

then after that i figured that i didn't put atf in the trailing plugs, so i removed all 4 plugs, and put ATF in all 4 plugs again, replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, and EGI fuse. i tried cranking yet again, still nothing??

what is happening?

it ran good before it had flooded, except for a flucating idle.

btw: ive done the deflooded process probably about 3-5 times and never got it wrong before? so i'm not exactly new at this

pull your plugs and clean them with a wire brush that whont hurt them, maybe a whire wheel or buy new ones. pull the EGI and crank the **** out of it then put it back in or push start it.

Yes, you just hold the accell pedal all the way down while cranking to de-flood the car... No need to pull spark plugs or dump in ATF.

Too much ATF will blow the motor's seals

and you check compression on the trailing, not on the leading

the reason i put ATF in it was because it was flooded pretty severly, everytime i try to just pull the EGI fuse and crank it several times, it never really seems to work, except for one time.

should i just continue doing the 3 step method?

crank on that biotch without the top plugs in (if memory serves)and EGI fuses out (both) reinstall plugs, put a little atf in, reinstall plugs, put back fuses, hold pedal to floor, crank on it....thats for S4 atleast

and this should help, follow heavy de-flood procedures

I had alot of flooding problems....have you done an injector leakage test? Are you sure its injectors? I thought i had leaking injectors when it was my coolant seals going out
