damn. really need some help!

im new with sevens, and cars period. i know some, but not alot. so i just got a 88 gxl n/a not to long ago so, yesterday i was driving and i was turning the corner by my house and from 3rd gear i down shifted into 2nd and took the corner. but when i was taking the corner my car seems like it was losing power and felt like the clutch was goin out. but i dont think its the clutch. but then the car shuts off.

so the problem is when i start my car. it revs to about 1.5k-2k then dies on me. it seems like it wants to idle but then just drops idle. when i drove it to my house from

(i changed my oil and oil filter the day before this happened.)

i had a problem before this. when i floor the gas in every gear, theres a jerking and a clicking noise under my car. but after a while of driving it and when the car gets warm the problem of it jerking and that click sound is still there but not as bad. i need some help guys. any thing will help.

Well if it was a left turn, your fuel pump is on your driver side. Check your fuel level.

Also pull codes from your computer. I can tell you how to do it on my car, prob. the same.

I would pull any codes first. It's the easiest thing to do. I can tell you how to do it on my 90 Rx7 conv., not much different than yours. start there.

check your fuel level too. the fuel pump does sit on your driver side. I parked on a hill once with a low tank and I got back to the car, started it, let it warm up like always and went inside, came back out and the car was dead. fuel pump sucked air.

Pulling codes on a S4 (86-88) is much different from pulling codes on a S5 (89-91).

Check the fuel pump sock (I think that is what you call it) on the fuel pump. If it gets clogged it won't allow fuel to flow in while making a sharp left.

Your problem sounds like it might be a vaccum hose if it won't stay running. Check the BAC maybe.

DO NOT STOMP ON IT WHILE THE ENGINE IS COLD. It isn't good for the engine at all. Always let the engine warm up before you start stomping on it.

well u said when u start the car also, it goes to 1 1/2 rpm's, or 2k rpm's, that also seems like a vacuum leak... i have very little experience with my rx7, but mine would not stay idle until i checked the hoses on the intake.. and it solved my problem....
