Custom Radiator Core Support

I am contemplating tearing down the RX7 again and going through the entire chassis.
1.Media blast
2.Seam weld
4.Minor repair of certain areas
3.Cage/reinforcement
4.Prime/Paint

Now the chassis I am working with has a slightly tweaked radiator core support. I was thinking of doing something similar to this

This is on a Corolla, but similar concept. Thoughts, anyone gone this route? And yes this is RACECAR!!! and yes it'll be a legal mod, my class is going to be power to weight ratio based.

I have a general idea on how I am going to do this, but would like to see how others went about it.

Very nice, exactly the type of stuff I am looking for. I'll be going lsx or 1j...I've got an lsx block good to go, but I am so very tempted to do something different. I am even contemplating a s2000 engine. You all may see a very nice part out coming soon lol....and I literally just rebuilt the rotary too, makes me feel a little guilty lol.
