Custom Intake
does anyone have pics or can describe their custom intake done to their fc3s.
cause as you know its hard to find an intake on the market, and the stock one really sucks

Also, this darn off topic thing, which strut tower bar are you looking at, because I haven't seen any that I really like (they all, even the RB one, look like they favor the front and don't support the back at all).

I'm looking at the Corksport front and rear ones, seem good and aren't too expensive.

^ You think a good dremel from Home Depot can cut the hole bigger where the washer bottle was? and the prelude kit you bought came with everything, or did you have to buy anything else? i really need to get this done for my FC, been holding out on it cause i dont have anything to make the hole bigger. but ive been wanting to buy a good dremel lately with all the adapters, dunno if it'll work though.

92-96 honda prelude cold air intake from ebay cut into 2 sections. Mine didn't turn out the way I originally wanted, however, but this how-to is what I was following at first, before I cut the hole in the wrong place and kinda had to just redo it and make it work:

FYI nopistons.com seems to be down right now, so when it's back up that link will work.

Oh that's right I forgot about those ones. Ok I lied I had to buy more.
I got the black RUBBER 3" ID to 3" ID coupler at Lowe's, the one that connects the back of the pipe to the intake elbow.
The blue silicone couplers were bought off ebay. I bought a 1 foot 3" ID tube of silicone that can be cut up into couplers. I cut it into four 3" long pieces to use, three on this car and one on another.
It's like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW
From the same seller, but he doesn't have any 3" 1 foot long tubes on there right now. Much cheaper than buying them seperately from another site too. I think the 1 foot tube was like 15 bucks.

^ hes got a 2 foot one on sale for 18 bucks plus shipping which isnt too bad, or i may just buy 4 couplers from the local lowes or home depot. my situation is making sure the tubing will fit right up to the MAF sensor, the intake itself, and the throttle body's black tubing. seems like the couples hold it on there snug. im ordering the tubing tonight and gonna go hit up home depot for the items tomorrow... thanks for your help Dub, you should make a write-up and put it in the archives.

as for the off-topic business.. the cp racing strut tower bars look really nice but theyre on the spensitive side.. look them up on ebay. the front it a tripoint bar that connects to the firewall, looks heavy duty.

corksport and cusco make great strut bars. corksport's are cheaper but still great quality... cusco is 150 for the front or rear is oval shaft aluminum (really nice), and like 250~ for the rear in carbon fiber.
