custom hood idea
Well I have been contemplating making a custom hood for some time. I want a reverse scoop effect to suck hot air out of the engine bay. I want to get an NA aluminum hood to start with. Sand it down, and put a universal hood scoop on it reverse. Mold it in and prime it all. Reason I want to do this is my stock hood is fucked and I am getting a paint job, and am not going to paint the CF hood I'm getting. It'll be the same price either way, hood or not so might as well get something out of it. Now what do you think of these reverse on the sides?

At first glance they look very ricey, but think about them on a hood. Functional? Should I get another larger scoop for the middle?

Nah, don't think I'd like it. My friend has an FD he bought with cowl fins on the sides of his hood (almost exactly like the ones on the viper hood, kinda like a heater vent almost) and it looks really good.

If I had the time and the means, I would do something like that. If you can make it functional everyone would be liking it. It does look like those holes would be to small to make much off a difference. Need at least one big reverse scoop in the middle.
