Well here is the deal fastest fire fly;
you have your stock intercooler very good flowing intercooler for stock!!! it was just in a shitty location stock... Mazda most likely did this to save money! Now from what I have read that was of information here from ReTed, and NZ both of which know their ****!!! their post count isn't gotten in the lounge!!! (mostly cause post counts don't rise there )
If I were you I would simply redoo the Intercooler piping and remount the Intercooler to a more "desirable" location as you seem to think it is not getting much airflow but you do realize that air doesn't follow a straight path once disturbed. so It might be getting lots of airflow.
Remounting the intercooler and getting proper pipping is goign to cost just as much as a TII Hood and the rest of the mistlanious things to remake it Top mount and you will get better gains this way!
Seing as you know soo much... Front mounting an intercooler with the extra pipping isn't going to cause HUGE LAG's as most seem to thing compressed air moving at a high velocity adding 4.5 feet of pipping isn't going to slow it down more that max of 1 second!
Now that I have helped you and given you my honest advice which is no different from NZ and ReTed! I will never help you again! simply because of the way you acted toward ReTed whom was trying to help you and I don't think what he said about you going back to your studies isn't all that far from truth because it seems from somebody whom seems to know alot more... Yet sill asks simple questions as the one posted here ! Now you have pissed off not one... not two... not three.... but four very knowlegable people on the forum!!! Calm down... and take things with a grain of salt! You were given lots of good advice and all you managed to say in reply is... "no thanks and by the way **** you"
Good Luck with this... I hope you add this link to your Resume when you are looking for a Job!
