I am pretty sure that the hood, "nose" (front bumper?), and headlamp assemblies will all work on your '86. I am also pretty sure that the bar you are talking about can be replaced, and depending on the extent of the damage, repaired.

Wow what did you hit? Have any pics? Yeah all that stuff is interchangable just find a good car to swap it off of or if you find a straight body swap your engine and parts over to it. The second option might be cheaper with the damage it sounds like you have. You can pick up a shell for a couple hundred dollars. good luck.

I found a 91 Rx-7 at a locale junk yard,The nose is in great shape. As far as what I hit...It was a honda accord my front end went right under his rear bumper!!I was going about 35mph!The guy stoped for a mini van in front of him.I love my Rx and don't want to junk her!!That bar in the front of the radiator is my biggest consern! It is pretty twisted!!It look's like it's pinch welded to the rest of the car.I am gonna try to hammer it back into shape! This is the least of the problems with that car.She has a RPM Drop at 3000 the car go's crazy when you hit about 3500Rpm's/Bucks and sputters? She also needs Tranny mounts,Struts,Shocks,Mufflers,I am thinking of going with a single tail pipe!!Can this be done?
