Unhappy Cracked oil filter pedestal, is this common??

My oil filter pedestal cracked where it bolts up to the rear of the block. It is aluminum, but is this common??

FYI I have an aftermarket custom oil cooler setup with SS lines and AN fittings, I'm wondering if this had anything to do with it. I didn't lose a lot of oil before I noticed and I was already in my driveway so no harm done, but wtf. It's just annoying. I'm worried if it is a common issue.

thanks!!
