a couple quick questions.

i am looking for a intake for my 88se,what are some good intakes for that car and will they ,make that much of a differance.the car has a mazdatrix header to strait exhaust.
also what are a good set of underdrives for my car also, and will they make a differance.
and what are a couple of other little things that i could do to help the performance of the car.

The cheapest thing to do is go to K2RD.com and get their AFM adaptor, then get a generic K&N air filter that will fit, along with a breather filter for the air pump. Or you could shell out the big bucks and get the K&N FIPK, rx7.com's air filter setup. Stay away from the weapon R filter and any of the other foam filters. They deteriorate and then bad things could happen.

Underdrive pulleys really don't do a whole lot. I would get Racing Beats mail pulley so that you can get the timing marks, and maybe their alternator pulley since you have no use for the air pump with no cat.

That really is about it. Pineapple Racing has some 6port sleeves that are supposed to work, but I just removed them. I also swapped to the 89 intake manifold, but that is another long story.

There is a write up some where on removing the secondary ports, but, i cant find it right now. All you do, is get a Haynes manual and follow their instructions on removing the intake manifold, and when you get down to the very bottom peice, the one what houses the rods for the ports, you will see the sleeves in their respective holes. Just when you yank them out for "cleaning and inspection" just dont put them back in. The Haynes will tell you just about anything, though the instructions arnt idiot proof. Good luck man, ill post that write up if i can find it.
