This the correct bolt size?

I have a 1990 GXL....
Is the correct bolt pattern 5 x 114.3? 15 inch tires?
I'm looking at some 16's that have this bolt pattern.

Thanks

This came from the FAQ section at beginning of threads:
What size are my wheels?
The stock sizes all have an offset of 40mm or 40 ET and are:
14x6 w/ 114.3x4 bolt pattern (Base, Luxury, 87.5-88 SE)
15x6 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (GXL, Sport, GTU, 91 coupe)
15x6.5 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (convertible)
16x7 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (Turbo, GTUs, Infini IV)

yes but with any wheel upgrade you might need to tweak the offset. honda wheels on an fc. dont you think that will look kinda tacky?

Here is a pic..

Now im gonna take off the center caps and just grind off the "H", smooth it out and repaint it silver...
Is tweeking with the offset easy to do? I will ask him what the stock offset is.

What offset does the FC use? 35mm correct?

Ya, they'll fit, but if memory serve me correctly, they will be very sunken in, not look so good.

So the Honda rims have a much smaller offset? Does anyone have any pics? All i want is a simple 5 spoke rim like in the pic. Can anyone tell me any other cheap rims i could check out? Maybe an old stock cavilair rim, old 3rd gen rim? Something like that..

Thanks

Don't worry about it anymore. I'm just gonna keep my rims and buy some new tires. I guess thats the best way to go.
Can anyone tell me what the MAX width of tire i can put on my 1990 GXL? Right now i have 205's on, could i fit 215's or even 225's? If so how would this affect handeling, acceleration, etc...

Thanks....

I beleive this is all in the FAQ.
The back will fit at least 255's...
The front, depending on the brand, 215 or 225's. Goodyear Eagles, for example, are slightly wider, and won't fit 225's in the front withuot rubbing. (The spring, I beleive)
If you are going to mix tire sizes, make sure you get different aspect ratios (the second number) to make the diameters match.

Since the car exhibit's failry neutral handling characteristics, I wouldn't want to induce understeer by using smaller tires up front. Using a brand that will fit 225's all around is the best option (or 215's of course, but they are more common on 17" rim sizes- perfect!!)
