Angry Corksport Review

Ok, I serously have no problems with the people there and I am sure their product will be worth it but man are they ******* stupid. I was told that I would receive my exaust yesterday....and no exaust. Well come to find out that they never sent it out because they couldn't get a hold of me? WTF???? Ok here it is I just don't understand where people come off being so stupid. I paid for it, now send the damn thing when it is finnished. This will be the absolute last part that I ever order from this company again. And if I slip up and do order something, I will make sure I send it back!!!!!!!!!!!

Disclaimer: I'm in no way associated with Corksport

First, you've got to understand that the product they're offering is a KILLER deal. Like, it's got no equal. They've been SWAMPED with orders for this catback. Cut 'em some slack, please! They really are great guys, and

second, they sell a lot of really good products for our cars - they're one of the few US makers that does. From their strut tower braces to their J-spec engines, their stuff is top-notch.

They've been REALLY SWAMPED by the demand for their latest product. Try 'em again in a little while, and you'll have a totally different experience.

dude, im fuc*ing pissed too.

they initially told me it would be here the end of may. then the first week in june, then they said it would be here yesterday. nothing, and not today either. so i finally called again, and they swore they sent it to me on june 10th through fed ex, yet its been 8 days and still no goddamn cat back on my car. i have had my **** from rx-7.com for over 2 months now waiting to get put on my car, this is getting ridiculous. i was the first freaking person on the list to get that exhaust, i placed my order right on the day they ran out. they told me over and over again, youre first on the list, it will be there, yadda yadda. i dont doubt they are good guys and do other good business, but this is beyond pissing me off. i mean im sure you can understand, my car has needed a new exhaust BADLY for a long *** time, it has like 4 leaks in and is about to fall off. i ordered this cause it looked sweet and everyone had great things to say about it, but i also ordered it at the beginning of april. so, sorry if anyone thinks im being impatient, im really not an impatient person but this is damn annoying and im really getting tired of waiting.

Gefunk, i feel your pain!

I can totally relate! My problem isn't with Corksport though, its with Racing Beat. I ordered a header and presilencer from them on May 15th. I called them about 2 weeks ago and they said they needed to package it and ship it. Bullshit! Called them last week said same thing. They called me and said would you like it shipped. Yes I replied! NOthing still. This better be the best damn header made!

i know really, i mean i completely understand that there arent many places out there that cater to us. But either way, its simple fu#*ing business. you cant run a business and **** people over, make them wait forever to get things that they ordered! how does anyone expect to make money that way? all it does is **** people off and make them not want to order from you again, and then go on forums like this one and tell other enthusiasts what a shitty experience they had.
ive never had a problem with racing beat before, although it does seem like there are too many people working there and you have to go through 3 different people to get a question answered.

corksport seems like a reputable operation too. but just a little communication with the customers, or at least make good on promises, or even if you cant do that throw in a free silencer or something. i know this exhaust is a great deal, but i didnt think i was gonna be waiting to get it as a christmas present.

and it may sound stupid, but i probably wont order anything from corksport again. not cause i doubt that i would get it or anything, but just cause ill remember this stupid hassle i went through with this thing. i wont want another pain in the *** again.
we need to be thankful that there are companies out there for us, but they also need to be thankful that they have us as customers. there really arent THAT many 7 guys out there, and it doesnt take a whole lot to **** people off. just do your job, please the select group of customers you have, and everyone will end up happy in the end.

Before you complain too much, you should heed No7Yet’s words. Corksport could solve all of your problems and all of their problems very simply. All they have to do is raise the price! Demand would drop, they’d be able to meet orders quicker and you’d have your exhaust when you wanted it. And they would still be making the same amount of money for less work and grief! IMO it would make good business sense for them to do this. But then you’d probably complain that it’s too expensive. Welcome to the real world. Get used to it.

You people are too impatient. For the price it can't be beat. You will like it when you get it though.

I'm pissed about my dealings with Corksport too. MY catbback came on tuesday, shipping was 40 for mine and I was expecting something a little more than a bubboewrapped pipe in a box as the only packing material. The tip was sticking out of a big hole and it had a small dent in it. The box seemed like just 1 piece of tape was holding it together.

2ndgen rocket has been waiting for over 2 months for his PAID FOR catback. I wanted to go ahead and pre order mine but I was denided by Corksport. They are doing a sort of raffle list now. IF you want the exhaust you call them and they take your name and phone number. Then they will call you back when they get around too it instead of completing the order right then.

I got called about 3 weeks after I first tried to order the exhaust. I'm just glad I gave them my cell phone number too or it would have been 3.5 weeks.

I'd like to know (I can't email em now...weekends...) if the univ muffler is the same one used in the FC exhaust. I'll try to find out on monday. I'm just going to pick up a pair of mufflers and have someone make me a dual CB. I found a shop that does mandrel bending and quoted me around 150 for a CB if I bring em mufflers. Gonna try and get rid of the precat and connecting pipe to main cat at the same time so the exhaust would look like this:

Turbo->DP>Cat>Y>Dual CS mufflers.

I like the idea of not keeping the stock exhaust piece currently between the 2 cats...it's bound to go bad sometime....

you need to understand that these companies, corksport and racing beat, are serving a very small niche market of the industry. they are enthusiasts just like us and they do the best that they can. they are not like the honda manufacturers that are all over. the cars they serve are rare and require usually custom work to be done and manufactureing, testing, etc.

cut these guys some slack.

also, you should see how apexi ships their exhausts. boxes come with holes in them because they pack em shitty and shippers dont give a fuxor what they are throwing around.

I thank you guys for all your sympathy. Serious though again, it has been 4 days since they supposibly sent the cat-back out and I still don't have it. Somehow I thought that FED Ex was supposed to be three day shipping, no less and no more. Moreover I payed 40 dollars for my shipping. I figure I should get it on monday, but damn it has been four weeks. First end of may than first week in june, than second week in june, than beginning of third week, and now NOW. What I did was simply say that well if the thing isn't here by Monday that I would simply call the Better Buisiness Bauru (sp?). The guy on the phone pirked right up and said "oh, oh we will get your exaust to you ASAP sir." Lets see if they can hold their promises. I have totally got nothing wrong with these people. I mean the first I called I talked with them for a while because they had never sent anything to Maine before. Moreover, most of their products are definitely very nice. It is just they take a damn long time to get to me. If I don't have my exaust by Monday at 4:00, damn someone is going to loose an eye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a problem with CS too, but it was for brakes. It was the shipping, they just couldent seem to be able to figure out how to get it in the mail or onto the UPS truck. Long story short...I got them to refund my shipping charges.
I wouldent go through CS again unless I had no other option to get what I need. IMHO.

Yeah the loud thing is kinda what I am looking for. I already run premix so it will be a loud smokking car .. Anyway, my bro has a gay N/a FF Talon with headers and a strait pipe into some gay muffler and he thinks it sounds good. Can't wait until mine sounds 50 times better
