Coolant Temp Sensor

Anyone tell me if the single blade connector coolant sensor at the rad cap is the coolant temp sensor? I can't seem to find one of these at the local parts stores.

That is one it is just for start up. The the constant one is on the drivers side of the engine, next to the oil pressure sender and oil pedestal

Help!

Where is the coolant temp sensor on an 88 TII? Is it the one next to the coolant fill cap? Thanks,

If it's the same spot as on an NA, it's on the left side of the engine, on the rear side housing, below the oil filter area
