Alarm goes on/off randomly probably once a week......

always check coolant level and it never changes....

the alarm goes on and then if i rev the car over 3000rpm and then let it drop back to idle the alarm will stop.....

when i get to the next set of lights it comes on again....

its loud and annoying.....

anyone else experienced this?

Aah... you mean the coolant level sensor. Thought you meant the temp sensor. It's just for the warning light, it doesn't affect anything else. It's a safety device, it's up to you if you wanna ditch it. I'd hunt for a replacement, even second hand, coz Murphy's Law says if you take it out, you'll have a coolant leak!

If you are going to buy a Mazda replacment and have a 89-91 RX-7 it is pricey ($70). Go for the 86-88 sensor. It is like $15

I had the same problem after putting an engine in my car. Come to find out, the radiator cap was a pos. Changed it out, and never had the problem again. CJ
