i swear, its like our cars pick up one problem after the other!

so lately my car has been losing coolant. it wasnt as bad at first. id only have to top off the radiator fluid every week and a half or so. since yesterday, id have to fill up just to get to work and back. then today, i top it off after work, then drive about 12 miles home and see that my 'add coolant' light is going off.

i check under the car and im losing a substantial amount of coolant on the passenger side of the car...right behind the front crossmember.

i look under the hood and see coolant just puddling on the edge of the rear housing. it looked like it was running down the housing. anyone have a clue what it could be?

id like to think its a hose. because i just got this engine a couple months ago now.

 

You're going to have to pull the UIM to see if it's the coolant hose that attaches at the rear housing down there that's causing you problems. Or, for right now, just get a fairly large mirror and hold it back behind the TB so that you can see under everything, the hose & nipple should be easy to spot this way. Good luck...

welp, found the culprit. its the hose coming from the block to the top of the turbo.

easy fix.

anyone know the size? looks like 3/8''
