Coolant goes missing and cant find the leak(verified not coolant seals)
My 10th AE has had the add coolant light coming on and then when i check the coolant its low yet the car never starts to overheat. I have tried pressure testers and have done every method to check the coolant seals and i still cannot find the leak.
I was wondering if it may be the sub-zero start system that is still on the car. If anyone else can chime in on what to check on please do because this thing has me frustrated from the buzzing and from always having to dump in coolant, which is getting expensive.

first check the exhaust and make sure your not burning the coolant which would mean your coolant rings are gone and you will need a rebuild this is the most likely because from your original pot you didn't mention a puddle of coolant. second if it was leaking from a hose you will usually find a pool of coolant on the ground so if you don't see that id rule it out and a pressure tester would have found it.Third take the intercooler off and the Upper intake manifold and look at where the block meets the lower intake manifold if you see puddles there it is either the orings that are on the block between LIM and the block. Or it is the hose that comes off the block and goes to the throttle body

I have a coolant problem also, my coolant pools into the over flow canister and then it flushes it out of the car... i drive it and the bumper is covered in coolant, i think i have air inside the system... dont know if it helps but i would burp it.

I have checked the exhaust. Pulled the spark plugs and looked for coolant in the combustion chambers and done the champagne bubble test to check the coolant seals. So I'm 95% sure its not them. As far as the rest of the hoses i will check them out but i definitely don't have any puddles anywhere thats why it is soo puzzling

maybe check your oil cooler... the radiator pet **** on my na fc, melted a little to where you couldn't see it was busted and everytime i would drive it started to spit coolant out and onto my oil cooler which funnilie enough started to make it evaporate, wouldn't see the leak until the petcock screw totally busted then you could see where it was coming from.

i have already pressure tested the car with the kit they sell at advance and still cannot find it. I have checked the o-ring area and the throttle body to block coolant lines as these went on Vert after i got it.
The odd thing is no matter how long i leave the light come on the car never over heats and the water level always goes down to the same level in the radiator.

Another cool trick is if you're using the normal green antifreeze, it will glow if you use a blacklight...
We found a really hard to see coolant leak on the back side of a miata engine using this trick before. Wait until dark, and grab a smallish black light and it'll glow bright green, like cats eyes.
Due be sure to use a "real" fluorescent black light, though, incandescent ones just don't cut it.

I've had two problems where this happened to me...first one was when I put the hoses on the wrong end of the overflow tank and it would leak out somehow..
Second time was the heater hose. I guess when I replaced the hose I kind of man handled the metal heater thing that sticks out of the firewall so my coolant leaked from there little by little and I'd have to top my car off every week. I even pressure tested and nothing...finally I noticed a slight tint of green under the outlet on my firewall. My car's white so it was easier..I'm sure you can rig up some kind of cloth around the outlet and just remove the cloth after a drive and smell for coolant or something.
