coolant everyyyywhere help before friday/sat morn
i was driving home from chicago its about a 240 mile trip and about 5 minutes from my house the add coolant buzzer comes on then goes off so im like ok i can make it home and as soon as a park it it goes off again. i open the hood and it looks like the ****** radiator cap blew off so i drained it filled it and got a new rad cap.
what would cause that?
also now that when i run it the car warms up faster but not to the point where it would overheat
what would cause that

It could be a plethora of things.
Might be a good idea to replace your thermostat and bleed (or flush) the system.
Are you working from the stock water temperature gauge?

What can cause this this to happen?
1. coolant leak
2. air in cooling system reaching your "coolant low sensor"
3. improper mix of water/antifreeze
4. Bad thermostat
5. Bad waterpump
Like it has been stated before, replace the thermostat, drain/fill/bleed the air. It shouldn't do this again unless there is something mechanically wrong. I am guessing if the buzzer went off you where really low on coolant, or either had an air bubble in the system that you need to get rid off. This will cause your engine to have "hot spots", which will cause it to over heat sometimes without you knowing. As it passes the sensor, it will buzz.
I saw you said is "blew off" if that happend, your filler tube would definetly be gone. I am guessing that cap wasn't screwed on to begin with?
You didn't mention anything about your temp gauge reading HOT. If it read normal, then this is definetly the cause of you having an airbubble.
