Coolant buzzer going off for no apperant reason
Well, after an hour of driving, I noticed it started going off whenever I took a long-bending lefty. it would go off at about the end of the turn, so it doesn't go off right away as I turn left... it kept going off whenever when I took a long-bending lefty so it was driving me crazy for next 5 hours... I drove the car from OH to VA btw. I checked the coolant overflow tank and it was above full.... I really don't know what the problem is. Is this a common problem for FCs and what would be causing this? I didn't notice any change in water temp although the buzzer was going off. The temp was at consistant ~185F when I was cruising, and went up to about 190F when I got on it and almost redlined 4th... seems pretty normal to me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Could be either air in the system or it's just slightly low enough to trip the level sensor. Could also be slightly low on oil as well being that the sensor is in the left side of the oil-pan, making a long left sweeping turn could cause the oil to just trip the sensor and buzzzzzzzzzz
The buzzer is for : Low Oil, Low Coolant, Over-rev.
Good luck.
Regards,
-Markus

Yeah, when you are doing any sort of serious turning, you're supposed to add near a quart of extra oil so that when stuff sloshes around, there's still enough to lubricate. With no extra in my tank, my buzzer went off consistently on a hard left during an autoX... well.. twice.. until i gave it some more earl...

I had the same problem. I hope this is not the case for your car, but mine had leak in the seals between the combustion chamber and the cooling system. Exhaust gas was getting into the cooling system and creating hot bubbles. When the bubble would pass the sensor, the buzzer and light would come on. If I revved the motor a little, it would move the bubble by a little quicker and everything would go back to normal.
My local Mazda dealer did a litmus test on the cooling system and told me what was happening. I didn't believe it because they said the car usually has to overheat to cause this kind of failure. So I took the car to Rotary Performance in Dallas and got the same story.
The motor had 96,000 miles on it and the rest of the car is still in great shape so I had the motor rebuilt. I bled the cooling system several times before I faced the fact that I had a bigger problem. Hopefully this is not the cause of your problem.

If you want a cheap way for the buzzer to go away, take the probe out and extend it down with like a soldered-on-wire or something. The probe is the nut beside the radiator cap. It's easier than trying to find the dang buzzer and taking it out... but it's just a cheap band aid. Not reccomended unless it's a track car, the buzzer drives you that crazy, and only do it if you don't have a leak or bad coolant seals.

Thank you so much, guys! I'll check for most of the things you guys mentioned
BTW, does anyone know where I can get a cap for Koyo radiator? I think it's kinda messed up... do Koyo use different cap from stock rad?

umm i never posted this. I was at work at 1030. And i don't say "sheesh" I say ****, or ****. I'm gonna change my password
My car had a similar problem and it turned out to be a crappy soldering job on the sensor wire that runs to the coolant level sensor probe. Quick and easy check, just pull the wire lightly and make sure its on there good. Hope this helps

Nobody's corrected the obvious mistake yet...
The low coolant warning is for the radiator level, not the overflow tank level.

It's a common FC problem...often times the sensor/wire gets loose and trips the buzzer/light. Make sure the connection is nice and snug, 5 minutes after the buzzer goes off you would know if something was really wrong.

ah so thats why...I knew to be checking the oil sometime soon and i keep putting it off and this buzzer has been getting on my nerves when i take the left turn.....hmmm....so it isnt just a coolant buzzer...maybe i should put some oil in . Thanks guys
