Convertible top problem...

Hey guys, Ive been having a problem with my convertible top recently. Its been acting really slow and when you try to open it up, it makes a creaking noise like something is binding it and making the motor work slower. The problem just started out of nowhere and the top worked fine before, so I was wondering if this was a common problem with an easy fix? Thanks in advance everyone.

You can try spraying some WD-40 onto the pivot points behind each seat, but the main source of creaking can only be reached by taking a whole lot apart. If the plastic is all removed that surrounds the motors, you can get to the main joints that will bind up as the top moves.
