Convertible question?

Anyone know where I can get heavy duty trunk lift for the convertible model. I had a Mitsu 3000GT spoiler put on it and it was shot due to the extra weight and now I have to hold it up every time I need to put anything in the trunk. Any info. would be appreciated. Attached is a picture of it. Thanks

I don't know where to get them, but some places sell simple locking devices for trunk shocks. When the shock is close to fully extended, a small plastic tab on an arm will slide onto the shock 'shaft' and prevent it from retacting past that point until you pull it off.

It's not the best solution, but they're cheap and they work.

You can probably get some aftermarket lifts from Pep Boys or the like that are more heavy duty by nature.

I had that problem with my 1st get after putting louvers on it. Replaced just ONE of the lifts with the aftermarket one and that fixed it. I think the brand I bought was called Mighty Lifts. But most any should do it.

Hmmmm... that wing looks decent on there. I have one from a T-bird on mine. (it looks very similar, but no center support)

Thanks for the replay, guys. I'll check Pepboys out for those lifts.

My wheel setup are 17" Konig Villains on 225 Nitto 450's.
