To continue air pump supercharger idea
I fail to see the airpump producing enough volume of air to pressurize any intake air, Unless you were to pressurize the secondaries, (on the throttle body there are three holes, talking about the bottom whole), the secondaries lead to the 3rd 4th 5th and 6th. All you would really want to pressurize is the 5th and 6th because they are the ones that open the last (so it would be possible to force air into them and it won't come back out at the next port). This leaves to options, that i can see, modifying the plastic piece before the tb to only feed to the top two and hook the airpump to the bottom whole (lots of engineering difficulties, no low end etc. Second, Removal of the 5 6 port sleeves and actuators etc and forcing air through the holes that would normally recieve a block off plate.

No, but It wouldn't be too hard to find out yourself, program a fuel comp to dump in more fuel, bypass the ecu.

Yes I agree it is a stupid idea, I was inquiring to the feasiblity of my modifications to the stupid idea.

Youre wasting your time just thinking about it. The air pump will NEVER be able to move enough air to create boost. Theres too many reasons why it wouldnt work. So many peopl ehave tried it, and you would think if it was possible, at least one person would have made it work. But noone has, its a lost cause.
Edit: let me clarify a few things. The 2 throttle plates on the top part of the throttle body are the secondaries, the single one on the bottom is the primare. Second, you could not pressurize just part of the manifold, it would go into the chamber from the pressurized port, and out the non-pressurized port. The airt pump will never be able to move enough air for even one port, let alone 6. Stop wasting time thinking about. Time is better spent working to make money for mods that actually work, or thinking about how to make that turbo/supercharger sitting on your desk work.

No no no, I'm not saying it will boost, I am looking for a pressure increase, like ram air say. It is too small for boost , everyone jumping to conclusions about my intentions !

Yea I think you're right about that. Superchargers have to be efficient in order to net any hp gains. Somehow I doubt the airpump could be considered efficient, even modified.

it is only good for one thing and that is rodding HP. I wish you guys would stop clutering the forum with these stupid air pump mods. The best mose you can do with the air pump is take it off.

Boost if a factor of atmospheric pressure (760 torr) I'm looking for 1000 tor, a factor of 1.25 atmospheres. Now I am not saying I am stupid enough to actually waste my time doing this, but I wanted to show up the other guy who posted the stupid idea in the first place. Just engineering in my head!

It would generate more torque than horsepower, methinks. And what about using it as an avenue for injection (can you say nawws). And it could put some pressure on the last ports (remove the 5 6 port sleeves, and the hole that is left could be bored out and have the airpump push air into it just for 6 ports. If the rotor gets its fill of air during its pass in the first 4 ports, and then you hit the last two with some extra air (they open last) it would generate pressure. Do you see what i mean?

I am proposing to use the airpump to provide EXTRA air, to push the limit past what the rotors suck in from the first 4, I am not looking for the airpump to provide the volume the rotors need, I am just looking to supplement the airpressure at the last stage of the intake! It would make a good route for injection of wierd stuff as well (like pure o2?? heh, imagine that... Nos who?)

I have a Masters Degree in Science from MIT, and we do this mod all the time. Of course it works better with liquid nitrogen injection. You're only limited by how much traction you can get out of your tires.

Liquid Nitrogen injection in a motor vehicle? 4(?)Kelvin cold intake charge... but gaseous N2 is almost completely unreactive, gaseous N expands to 400X its volume as a liquid, so all you will do is displace the oxygen your engine is trying to take in. Bad idea.
