connecting airpump directly to cat converter?
if i went to a store and bought the right size heater hose, would it fit onto the outlet (where the air is pushed) and would i be able to directly connect it to the bottom half of the split air pipe (hard metal pipe) and run that as a setup so the airpump is supplying air to the cat converter or do i need the ACV?

just for the 15 miles to the emissions station, and home. The inspector said he doesnt care my setup as long as i have a cat converter...and i dont want to run a stock cat w/ no airpump for 2 reasons. 1: clog up cat fast (old converter) and 2: the exhaust gas will come up through the split air pipe and get into engine bay (stinky gross and not practical)

it's fine for emmissions. just don't leave it on any longer.
my corvette electric air pump is hopefully in the mail and I'll be doing the same thing soon. but with the electric pump straight to the cat. so I can turn it off and on with a switch.
