Unhappy Confused - bad grounding result

Ok I tried re-grounding the black wire to my pressure (boost) sensor. I Checked the FSM and did some searches...black wire for an 88TII.
It was running well before I added the ground, and now it hesitates & looses power under hard acceleration.
So I disconnect the ground from the body, and it's fine again. WTF. Wrong wire? I'm sure it's the black.

I'd really appreciate some help

Did you use a digital multi meter to confirm it is the correct wire??? Some cars use Black/Brown as ground there.

Well........no. I need a multimeter I know. BUT,
I have:
black
black/white
brown/red
brown/white
Same as in FSM wiring & connector diagrams. If I read them correctly, the black grounds to the air flow meter.

Ok let me chime in on this one.

If you have UPGRADED silicone hoses on your car. Did you take the "pill" our of the pressure sensor line and re-instal it on the silicone one?

If you didn't which I happened to also NOT DO when I regrounded it. You will get this kind of hesitation above 4k rpms.

Thanks but no new silicon hoses.
I'm sure black is ground.

So how could adding a ground to the boost sensor create a hesitation?

I've grounded the leading coil, and added a engine-chassis ground. Have yet to do ECU.

Perhaps remove the ground. Sounds crazy, but if it was working......

my apologies, the hose running from the pressure sensor to the intake has no "pill" in it. I understand it should.

yes it should have one. Try and get one from the dealer. I should only be around 3-5 dollars.

This should fix the problems.

Son of a Bitch no pill in my pressure hose! All this time no pill, I reground the pressure sensor and it magnifies the problem. To think it could have been running better all this time!!

1987RX7guy I just read your hole thead, this exact same thing happened to you. It was as if I'd written it!

I should have checked yesterday, but I never fooled with that hose so I figured it couldn't be it. I realized previous owner had new hoses installed with motor.

Calling the dealer first thing tomorrow

Thanks
This board rocks!
