They charge a lot for good reason.
One, the Mazda compression tester is a SHITLOAD of money. It probably won't be used more then a handful a times, most people don't come into dealerships asking for compression tests.
Two, it takes the time for the tech to do the job. If you have PS and AC, it is considerably harder to access the spark plugs, etc..and they generally round up to the hour.

I paid $72.00 at a dealership in NC. last October. They have a special compression tester though. Over $100.00 is too much. I've been quoted prices of $100.00 by rotary specialists.
