Complete tear down.......to the bare frame.

Yeah for unibody's you pretty much have to make or buy a Car Rotisserie. I think building this out of 4x4 lumbar would be pretty easy since the DIY plans are online. It can attach at the same points your suspension, bumper, toe hooks, etc.. does to prevent damage to the car. The raw materials are pretty cheap.

People will be jealous of my restoration project, and I have told you about it before, I just need to get that rust bucket home! And I wish I had space to do it all at my place, but I can't. I guess I will have to rent out space at Tuxedo Park Racing here in St Louis.

Somewhere here... I can't find it right now but I will, is a guy that 1st built his Rotisserie out of 4x4's if I am not mistaken and re did his vert. There were ALOT of pics and very detailed updates. Sure you will NEVER get any where close to the amount of money out of it if you try to sell it. But It's your car strip that b down and start from scratch. You will have something you can drive for years and have a car to be proud of. My coupe project is gutted and a Rotisserie sounds better and better the more i think of it.

I wish I had the time, money and equipment to do exactly what this thread is about. I have been contemplating it for at least two years now, hopefully I can take some steps to making it happen early next year. I got serious inspiration from an article I read about Opera Performance in Japan, they did some amazing tear down builds of an S2000, RSX and a 350Z. If I could do something even a fraction as good as that, I would be extremely pleased. In my opinion, if you plan a project like that, you can not be thinking about a budget at all, you just do what you have to and finance the project as you go....but maybe I'm wrong, and I'll end up broke and still without a running car!!

im a year and a half into my restoration project and its definitly tons of work....you think you have it all planned out and then you get to one point and its like well i should replace this or do this as well and there is never any good order to replace and put things back together either.
the wiring is the biggest bitch.....im still trying to figure out what im going to do for switches because the stock ones are almost impossible to get to work right with anything but the stock harness which i ditched a long time ago
