Although i don't exactly agree that a $1000 coilover system tuned is better than a $3000 system untuned. I understand your statement and can relate, a properly dialed in suspension does feel and respond several times better than stock. Although in comparison with tuned suspension of different grades for example Ksports vs Zeals, the system that has the better quality, grade material and technology will over power, which usually equates to much more $$$.
In your case, you did prove that the Teins did not work well for you because
1) untuned.
2) probably was not the spring and dampening set up you wanted.
3) Was used in conjunction with worn bushing and other stock components
You also proved that the cheaper system did work well for you because.
1) Tuned
2) You are more experienced now than when you bought your first coilover system.
3) Was used in conjunction with Camber plates, new bushings, ect.
Now if you combined the two experiences, by taking the more expensive system (in your case Tein)
1) Tuned
2) Experience
3) Used in conjunction with Full Energy Suspension Bushings, Plates and Bars
You would have found that the more expensive set up would have felt far better than your current setup. Based on your driving style and need at the time.
Bottom Line
Im happy that you found a setup that fits your needs, there are several people who still spend countless amounts of money trying to get it to feel right. Though all the criticism and talk you had the past year (looking above) at least you gained and shared your experience with us 1 year later. If you take a look again at some of the information given to you that you may have forgotten or brushed off in this thread, and take into account that you should be a little less ignorant than you were 1 year ago. I am sure the information will mean a lot more to you now.
Congrats on getting your scca registration, make use of the opportunity you have to further your knowledge and skills!

thanks and looking back i guess i was vary inexperienced and gung-ho about the whole thing i really should have took the time to do some research befor i did anything but i didnt and i paid for it thanks for all who commented and all who helped in my quest to make a sick fc im well on my way and winning (and losing) races. I found the best thing to do is to go to a driving school as much as possible to gain and refine skills. Also talk to as many people as i can about how to mod my fc and what there expeiences were.

There are a lot of coilover options.
KW makes some really nice suspension parts as well. The Variant 3 is a great mid priced coilover for track guys. You should call them and see what they offer.
Ohlins is a good option too, and the nice thing about them is the local support that they have in the states. There are plenty of FC options too because the guys in the US and Japan have been playing with these coilovers.
Aragosta is one good suspension manufacturer from belgium that has been ignored. I know aragosta suspension has plenty of options for the FC as well.
Moton is very nice, the clubsport line is enough for most street/track use (it's 4000 dollars), but they have an FC application. The older Motons had a problem with nitrogen gas leaking from the remote reservoirs, i think that problem has been fixed.
Just as long as you don't get **** chinese made K-sport, D2, Megan w/e coilovers that have had 0 R&D time into them, you are ok. If you stick with a trusted name A) If something goes wrong mechanically, they will stand behind their product B) Supporting the companies that actually make quality parts from R&D done.
I noticed from what it looks like your car is NA, but a lot of these suspension kits are made for the Turbo II/Turbo model. So you may need to eventually swap out for some Turbo II rear subframe parts. PM me if you have any other questions, i can try to help.
