Company/Personal Ripoffs
I have been hearing a lot of complaints on people getting ripped off by rx7 venders and other people on the forum. I thought it would be a good idea to start a post on purchasing and ordering difficulties. Im sick of hearing how much people have been ripped off so maybe this will help others when ordering parts.

I think Jim Linnihan[sp?] runs some North(something) vendor list where you can leave feedback on vendors and shops.  Sorry, I don't know his nick on here...

Well, so far I've been screwed twice. First was a clutchline from demonspeed, which he claimed he would send out a month ago. The second was from TurboII Rudeboy in waiting a month after I purchased an ECU/harness/afm from him to send them, then claiming that he can't find them, and then all-out ignoring me. Not to mention he sent me a 89+ block with 88 parts on it when I specifically asked for an 89+ block *WITH* 89+ injectors/etc, he did tell me he had it in an 88, however I didn't expect he had swapped everything for the 88, oh well on that, lesson learned, have the other parts already. But a month to send out a Fan,ECU,Harness and AFM? I'm starting to feel the burn on that one!

Yeah, just bc you are buying on this forum doesn't mean that ppl are 100% trustworthy. I recommend reading their threads to see if they actually know about RX7 and if they are level headed ppl.
There is a vendor feedback list. I can't remember what the link is.
In general, if it's a large purchase, try to use credit card so you are protected. If the goods don't arrive, you can charge back the amount w/in 90 days of the charge. PayPal allows credit card when dealing with 3rd party but I don't know what the credit card agreement is on escrow companies.

Hey. The other thing to remember is sometimes people think they are getting ripped off, but just are not putting the part in correctly or they thought one thing was the problem and its was really another.
So as much as I like a good vendor/seller list, I only take half heart in someone else saying that, that a person only sells crap or is bad.

thats why we have a moderator for the list so that anything posted is cleared up before the company's name is dragged through the mud. good ideas guys!
we can go on something like if 5 or more or 10 or more people have legitimate complaints about a vendor...then their name goes on the bad vendor list...sort of like a bad check list. hehe my 2 cents!
...or like ebay, we leave a negative feedback on a deal and they can respond to it...and there can be a feedback list for the vendors which we can post or something to that effect.

Yea thats exactly why i posted this. Maybe we can help out others by weeding out the good people to deal with. If there is a dispute then hopefully this will catch their attention and help clear problems with users and venders. I dont want this to be a flame war on a company or bussiness. All I would like is for people to be honest with their deals. I would like to see this as a benifit to the group. So keep on posting!

Not to get personal but if anyone knows a Jeff Morrison in Illinois, let me know, he sent some 89-91 tail lights to me and they got beat all to Hades 'cause of poor packaging(or they were already broke) and now will not answer my e-mails about money off and or return. He's a real Richard Cranium, if you know what I mean!

Been two months, and I still haven't recieved the parts I paid for from TurboII Rudeboy, he keeps on saying he's too busy, or he can't find what he has to send me (so give me a refund) and lately it seems he's just taken to ignoring me when I ask about it.

I also get ripped of by demonspeed.
I suggest NO ONE should associate or deal with this company..
Why hasn't the admins done anthin in removing his ad from the banner?? I find this awfully fishy.

Dude I totally agree. All the fishy stuff going on has led me to believe that some of the companies advertising on this forum are somehow linked to the forum (well of course they are, since they pay to put up ads)...like the owners of this forum might be friends with some of the companies' owners. I don't know, pure speculation!

I had recvd a PM from one of the moderators. It was in regards to my poll for demonspeed. I had tried to get a poll going with detail posts.
But they had rejected it...I smell something really bad here. I believe that there might be some internal interests with some of the monderators. They also might be in it.
Someone please get this going on another website or a personal one...please.
I want this thing handled and found all parties that are involved.
