90 percent of the plastics you take out will break. And when you put the interior back it will rattle and never be the same. Just keep that in mind with your long term goals with the car.

just find an fc at the wreckers. pull it out yourself. that way you don't have to pay for stuff that breaks coming out.
should probably take yors out first. then you'll know how it all comes out. less chance of breaking the new stuff

Not necessarily true.

If he gets the interior pieces in good condition and fully Intact then they will show the points of attachment.
Sort of makes the disassembly more fun since he hates the old stuff he can go nuts on it!

The results IMO are never very good on fabrics that you touch frequently, but for the plastic and vinyl the SEM Color Coat Landau Black will make your interior look like new. Even if you junkyard pieces I would suggest SEMing them because you'll be amazed at how tatty 25 year old vinyl and plastic look compared to freshly painted pieces.

The key is prep, prep, prep. Googling will find plenty of how-to's. At the bottom of this page SEM How To Videos is the SEM Color Coat how to video that goes step by step thru the process.

We did this on my younger son's MR2 turbo and the interior looked factory fresh. It was really amazing. With some careful and **** masking, you should be able to recolor a lot of the interior panels without having to remove them and risking the brittle plastic.

Good luck.

This isn't true. It depends on the condition of the car. If your fc spent most of it's life outside in the sun then the plastic will be brittle. If it was a garage queen then the plastics will be in great condition and you can remove them fairly easy and possibly without breaking anything.
