cold air intake

alright so i put a cone filter on my car and i know its sucking in warm engine air which isn't good. so i was wondering how to make a cold air intake. i know there is the way of making your own home made box and putting part of the old intake on it. but what i am wondering is if i can some how route it down into the fog light or in front or the rad or something.... like route the tubbing the same you would put a fmic in but put the filter on the end instead.. can it be done? thanks

Yes.. a cai is just a filter on a stick... get a stick (tubing) and clamp your filter onto it.
