For springs id say Tanabe or Eibach, coilovers im going to have to go with Stance or HKS Hypermax II.

But best is only relative to your own views and driving style.

I would recommend doing a search in this forum, there are countless threads on coilovers and im sure you can answer your own questions.

I've always heard Megan Racing coilovers are really good especially for the money.

Best that I know of: JRZ QA + Eibach ERS Race & Helper Springs
http://www.jrzusa.net/products/race/

Best budget setup that I know of: ISC Racing Bilstein Coilover Kit

Megan Racing / D2 / K-Sport / Buddly Club sells cheapie Chinese parts that are intended for show and drift cars that do not require actual race parts. Yes, they will save you some money if they meet your goal. However, I would rather pay the extra $250 or so for a race-worthy Ground Control coilover kit with Koni dampers and Eibach ERS springs, but that's just me.

I too would go with GC's and Konis because it is a race worthy setup. If you want to drift, you simply learn to drive the car differently. Theres no excuse to buy Megans or K-sports for "stiffness" or anything else like so many people tend to do.

I just bought Megan coilovers.I had Tanabe lowering springs and tokico adjustable shocks I've found the Megan's to be very well built and out perform the lowering spring/shock combo. There has also been complaints about rebuilding them.I found this on an other site,The MR coilovers are also fully rebuildable, with MR's ultra convenient dampener insert exchange program. For $75/corner, they will send you a brand new dampener insert. You then simply return your cores. No downtime, as opposed to traditional dampener rebuilds that require that your coilovers be removed and sent in for service. Rebuild intervals on the MR's average 45K miles, which is comparable to most fixed perch struts.

All I can say (yes this is from experience) is that tein coilovers > JIC coilovers. Huuuuge difference! I only have tein HE's as well. There are a few better models.

LMAO. This is so typical of EVERY thread on this forum that deals with coilovers. Everyone that chimes in is just speaking with biased opinions without any actual first hand knowledge. I like how every chinese knock-off company is automatically associated with drifting, therefore labeling them as garbage and a waste of money. It's ignorance like this that I hate about this forum.

P.S. I have D2 coilovers, they're fantastic. I daily drive them with 12/10.5k springs on the softest dampening setting and they feel great. Not rough at all.

Ive also driven cars with the following brands of coilovers:
Ksport
Tein
JIC
Mookeh
Cusco
HKS
KW

I'm sure the list goes on. If you aren't actually putting these on a completely dedicated race car that's going to be competitive, then any coilover will do and you will hardly notice the difference if it's for anything else.
